We meet every Sunday, 10:30am and again either in the afternoon or early evening. We meet at the church building on Albert Street. There is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in all meetings, even though they are structured. The meetings usually conclude with an informal time where we simply chat together with a cuppa in-hand.
Our songs include a mix of traditional and contemporary hymns, and our music set-up changes each week to incorporate different instruments and styles (piano, guitar, trumpet, drums etc.)
We use the NIV version of the Bible, and plenty of copies are available to borrow if you don’t have a Bible of your own (you can even take one home for free!) We’d also recommend an app called YouVersion which allows you to read the Bible on your phone – in any version or language!

Mornings
A typical service
From 10:30am, we spend 20-25 minutes singing, praying, reading the Bible and enjoying an all-age time with our children and young people before they leave for their own activities.
We’re very happy for young children and babies to make noise and they’re welcome to stay throughout the whole service. Activities such as colouring and question and answer sheets are available, there is also a creche if you’d like to make use of that.
Our pastor, David, another member of the church or a visiting speaker will then teach from the Bible to help us deepen our understanding of God and live out our faith. We usually follow a series in a particular book of the Bible or theme. The talk will last between 25 and 35 minutes. You can listen to some of our previous talks online.
If we have communion, a gluten free alternative to bread is available and the wine is alcohol free (in case those things are an issue for you or for someone you want to invite).
Refreshments are available after the service (11:45am-ish) as we enjoy getting to know and chatting with each other.

Afternoon/Evening
We have a variety of meeting styles and times for our second meeting most Sundays.
Generally speaking, we meet at 4.30pm in the autumn/winter months and 6.00pm during spring/summer.
All meetings are open to all.
Sometimes we will have a sermon series where we focus on a particular book from the Bible or theme. These meetings are similar but simpler (have less elements) and usually shorter than the morning time.
Sometimes we have seminars where together we can dig a little deeper into an aspect of the Bible or Christian faith. These will have open times of discussion when you can ask questions or express thoughts and opinions.
Sometimes we simply meet together to eat and chat.

Parking
There is limited on-street parking on Sundays. For the morning we have use of the underground car park that is part of the Health Centre on the opposite side of Albert Street to the church building.
