Parking
Albert Street is one-way, with the entrance being off Church Street, not from Nottingham Road. There is very limited on-street parking on Albert Street. Do not park in the marked parking bay as that is for permit holders only and it is monitored by traffic wardens. (This applies to Blue Badge holders too.)
On Sunday mornings only visitors to SBC can use the Care Centre Car Park. This is immediately on the right as you turn into Albert Street. Cars must be moved by 1pm. This is a height restricted car park.
There are four Council Car Park options.
Cliffe Hill Avenue, NG9 7HD (59 spaces)
This is the best option for access to SBC. It is about a 5-minute walk. Charges 8am-10pm Monday-Saturday inclusive. Free on Sundays.
Exit the car park via the steep steps, cross Nottingham Road at the pedestrian crossing and then proceed along Church Street in front of the Care Centre before turning right up Albert Street by Well Pharmacy. Alternatively, if steps are difficult for you, exit back down Cliffe Hill Avenue to Toton Lane, turn right and walk to t the traffic lights at the crossroads. Cross to the Old Rock pub, proceed along Church Street and turn right up Albert Street next to the Pharmacy.
Eatons Road, NG9 7EB (17 spaces)
5 minutes’ walk Charges 8am-10pm Monday to Saturday. One hour £1. Three hours £2. Six hours £3. Over six hours £15. Free on Sundays
Victoria Street, NG9 7AP (51 spaces)
8 minutes’ walk. Charges 8am-10pm Monday to Saturday. One hour £1. Three hours £2. Six hours £3. Over six hours £15. Free on Sundays.
Halls Road, NG9 7FX (28 spaces)
15 minutes’ walk Charges 8am-10pm Monday to Saturday. Twelve hours £3. Free on Sundays.
On-street parking may be possible on Frederick Road, NG9 8FL. This may be accessed via Church Street and Mill Road or via Derby Road and Warren Avenue. Once parked you can walk to the rear of St Helens Parish Church (the very obvious old building with a spire, that stands about half- way along this street) and walk-up Church Lane to the right of the church. Cross over Church Road outside the library and then proceed up Albert Street. This is a 5 -10-minute walk depending where on Frederick Road you are parked.
