During the service: How many different ways to measure time can you think of? Are these used for different things? Why are they used? Or print a puzzle or some pictures to colour.
KOSMIC Can you think of a time when someone was kind to you? How did it make you feel? Read about Ruth and Boaz in the book of Ruth or watch the story. How could you see kindness in the story of Ruth? Kindness is part of the fruit of the Spirit. Learn more about kindness. What have you learnt from Douglas? Ask God to help you to grow kindness in your life.
Transition How does it feel when someone is kind to you? Read the story of Ruth and Boaz in the book of Ruth or find out about the key events. What examples of kindness can you identify in Ruth’s story? Kindness is a part of the fruit of the Spirit. Find Ask God that he will help you to grow kindness in your life.

Random Acts of Kindness

You will need: time, eyes that look upwards and outwards (& maybe other things)

Show kindness to others throughout the week and when asked why, you could say, “I’m trying to show more of Jesus’ love” or “Just because” or “I’m practising being kind.”
  • Take out your neighbour’s bin.
  • Bake a cake as a gift.
  • Smile at strangers.
  • Write a positive review for a local business.
  • Tidy your room.
